What to bring??

I'm currently making piles of definitely bringing and maybe bringing, knowing that I can only bring 50 pounds of things. I find myself thinking, how did Frodo survive his trek cross country with just a cloak and some elvish bread... Makes me  feel pretty pathetic with my 8 tops, 5 pants/shorts, and various other necessities. I'm guessing Frodo didn't bring a travel towel and shampoo and conditioner, but then again, he had other things to worry about other than hygiene. Anyway... Back to packing
